It rained all day so in order to get my steps in, I had to do what I do at home – I went to the mall. Malls are all alike in some ways. The Merritt Square Mall on Merritt Island is no exception. It has the 4 anchor stores, the jewelry kiosks, and the food court. But it also has a few things that I haven’t seen at our malls in Rochester.

First, it has a babysitting area like WKids in Wegmans.  Also like Wegmans, it has carts that you can push your kids around in – no need to bring your own stroller.

The last thing was really cool. It was called Mall Jump and looked like the set up for a circus act. There were 2 big jumping pillows with rigging in between. Two kids jumped in harnesses, one on either side, sort of a cross between a seesaw and bungie jumping. It’s spring break here in Florida so there were lots of kids lined up to jump. Great fun on a rainy day.
