If you have surfers, then you have to have surf shops. Cocoa Beach has 2 huge competitive surf shops. The first one, Ron Jon’s, has been in business for over 40 years. It started in a small shack at the Jersey shore, but has been in Florida for years now. It has 2 stories and is open 24 hours a day.

The other big surf shop is called Cocoa Beach Surf Company. The story goes that the owner of this shop worked for Ron Jon’s or was a partner, but there was a disagreement and parting of the ways, and he opened his own store across the street. They carry the same items, but different brands. For the shopper it’s a win, win, and they’re both big enough to get in lots of steps.
