I’m in Florida for the month of March. This is a yearly get-a-way that my husband and I have been lucky enough to be able to enjoy for the last ten years. This year our fun in the sun is tempered a little bit by our homesickness for our grandkids.
Our resort has a little pond with turtles of all sizes. I think how much Evan would enjoy looking at them. In fact, the baby turtles remind me of Evan. I watch them struggle to get up on the log. They almost make it and then, splash, they’re down in the water again. But they keep on trying. This is Evan learning to walk.
Then today I saw a baby at the pool who looked just like Molly. She was wearing a cute pink polk-a-dot summer dress with matching panties. The resemblence was so strong that I went over and showed her mom a picture of Molly. Yes, I’m afraid that I’m turning into one of those grandmothers who whip out their pictures for complete strangers. Of course, now my pictures are on my camera instead of in an album. But the memory capacity is thousands. Think of the possibilites…
