I planted these impatiens on Memorial Day. They were small but healthy, and I expected them to start filling in within a couple of weeks. I was so disappointed when by July 4th they still didn’t look any different than the day I planted them. This was after watering them regularly. They weren’t dead, but they weren’t flourishing either. You might say I was getting impatient with my impatiens. It wasn’t until the rain came in August that my flowers started to take off, and I’m really enjoying them now, maybe the more so since I had to wait so long. After all, I’m sort of a late bloomer myself.
