There’s a reason that Stephen King has sold millions of books. He’s a great writer. I just finished reading 11/22/63, and it’s wonderful. I’m sure I’ll be thinking about it for quite a while.Everyone should read this book, but especially those of us who still remember where we were that day. (I was in the girls’ locker room of East High School getting dressed after gym class.) That was the day our generation lost our innocence.
If you’re put off by the length of the book or that fact that Stephen King is all about horror, don’t be. Although the book is 697 pages, it reads very easily, and although bad things happen in the book, it is not filled with horror like some of King’s other work. What’s great about this novel is that it makes you think about things like free will vs destiny and the relationship between past, present and future.
Would you change your past if you could? Heavy thoughts for a sunny day in Florida…
