Today I did NOT want to get out of bed, and I did NOT want to go to the gym. After about 15 minutes of arguing in my head, I got up and went – probably because I knew that today was the end of my first month of stepping and time for my first report card.
REPORT CARD
ATTENDANCE: Present: 26 days Excused Absences: 5 days (Sundays) Unexcused Absences: 0 Grade: A
MEETING GOALS: I met my daily goal of 11,000 steps on 20 out of 26 days. That’s 77%. Grade: C
PERSEVERANCE: The first week was the hardest, and for 3 days in a row I failed to log 11,000 steps. I admit that I was thinking I had set my goal too high, but this past week I had 2 days over 13,000 so I think I’m on my way. Grade: A
DEPORTMENT: For all of you under 50, that means behavior. No swearing, crying or temper tantrums this month, at least while I was stepping. Grade: B
STYLE: I’ve got to get some new sweatpants. Grade: D
EXTRA CREDIT: I lost the 2 pounds I gained over Christmas, but I was hoping for more. I guess I have to stop hoping and start dieting. But I do find that I have more energy. I was one of those people who say they have no time for exercising, but now I’m a believer. Grade: C
Day 31: 11,172 Steps YTD: 273,637 Steps Goal: 286,000 Steps
