Did you feel it? That first cool breeze of autumn. The air just felt different when I stepped outside this morning, and I wanted to breathe deeply. The Rose of Sharon has passed its peak, and if you look hard, you can see the red creeping into the leaves of the Burning Bush.

As a kid I always dreaded these last two weeks of August because I had hay fever. I thought it was so unfair that I had to spend the last days of summer vacation sneezing and rubbing my eyes indoors. Age and allergy shots have left me pretty much allergy free these days so I intend to make the most of these dwindling days of summer. How about you?
