I decided to take Evan to the mall today to walk. I thought I would get some exercise and pass the time. I started to regret my decision when I had to unload both him and the stroller in the pouring rain, but I’m glad I persisted. What I got along with the exercise was a chance to witness Evan doing God’s work. How can a one year old serve God?  Simply by being himself and sharing what he does best, just like the rest of us. What Evan does best is smile and wave. He loves people, and he had a smile and a wave for everyone we passed. I got to watch people’s faces as they responded to him. I can’t tell you how many smiles I saw. Then I heard the barista at Starbucks say “That little boy just made my day.” Like I said, God’s work…
