My steps today took me to the Greece Historical Society and Museum on Long Pond Rd. The Society is located in a restored 1850’s farmhouse with an addition on the back for the museum. This house is a place where you immediately feel at home once you step inside. It’s comfortably decorated – not fussy, and the museum exhibits are beautifully done. All of them are three-dimensional like this one about apple farming. The contraption on the left is a cider press.
History is everywhere here. I even found this old treadle sewing machine in the ladies’ room. Mrs. Levine would love that – you know that she never misses a teaching opportunity.
Stop in if you’re in the neighborhood.
