I’m stepping in place today – waiting – waiting for baby, but also waiting for my brother’s operation to be rescheduled, waiting for news of my aunt in hospice.

It seems like I’ve spent a lot of my life waiting for one thing or another. How about you? In fact, I’ve spent so much time waiting that a long time ago I decided that WAIT is an acronym for While Anxious I Trust. What am I trusting in? I’m trusting that the Lord knows more than I do, and that His timing is perfect even though I can’t always understand it.

So, today I’m waiting and also unpacking the baby’s car seat and attaching it to the back seat of my car, trusting that I’ll need it soon.
