The steps I took today were not of the walking variety. In fact, I might have logged the fewest steps of the whole year today. My friend, Shirley, invited me over for a sew day, so I packed up my machine and spent the day taking steps toward finishing some of my unfinished sewing projects. You might not like to sew, but I’m betting you have some other type of unfinished project in your home right now.
This is a wallhanging that I started at least 10 years ago at a quilting class at Heart and Hand quilt shop, which is no longer in business. Today I finished it.
I also finished a St. Patrick’s Day table topper that I started only 2 years ago.
From sewing, I went directly to a book club meeting, where the members were kind enough to ask me to talk about my books. I met some interesting people, ate some good food, and conversed about all kinds of things, but I did all this while sitting down and logged in a pathetic 3,853 steps.
