I have a new job title – Grandmother. While I don’t officially start this job until October, I’m already preparing for this new stage of my life. The way I understand it, my job description is simply to spoil Baby Germick in any way possible.

Auntie Robyn and I got a head start on that today, by having a baby shower. We had lots of help from Grandma G., Aunt Sue, and best friends, Kristen and Eileen. Everyone seems to love buying baby gifts. We were overwhelmed by the generosity of friends and family. One gift was more precious than the next. I don’t think Kris and Dave will have to buy diapers for a few months, and this will be one of the best read kids in town.

I couldn’t resist this little rocking giraffe that I bought at the Corn Hill festival. Yes, Grandma is my name, spoiling is my game.
