Today I went on an ecumenical walk of the Stations of the Cross. About 300 of us gathered at United Methodist Church on West Ave. at Bull’s Head.  Then we stepped outside and walked the neighborhood, stopping to compare area points of hope and also points of despair to Jesus’ points of hope and despair as He walked to Golgotha. It was very cold – an earmuffs and mittens day. The sky was gray, befitting the somberness of the occasion, but I believe that every person there left with a renewed sense of hope and of God’s presence with us in our suffering.
